4GB Blue Nano

Strengths: Easily syncs with iTunes, small and compact, no issues with fingerprints or smudging, tough metal case, great sound.

Weakness: None

I bought this as a gift for my grandson. 4GB are perfect for his music collection and the size is perfect for transport. He charges it from his PC or my charger. No issues with the earbuds. He loves it!

Great size, feel, & color

Strengths: * size * ease of use * color * sound * earbud sound

Weakness: * earbud size * storage capacity

When I first saw the blue nano online, I thought it was a bit too bright, but when I saw it in person, I was much more impressed with the color. Depending on the angle you view it, it's actually a deeper metallic blue, which looks great in my opinion.

Aside from the look, the new earbuds do give a fuller sound, an improvement over the older style. The earbuds are great is you have smaller ears, because they will fit without hurting. However, if you're ears are bigger, they tend to fall out - you can remedy this by putting a set of earbud covers on (unfortunately, the new earbuds to no come with covers so you'll have to buy your own).

The signature part of the ipod is how easy it is to use, and this nano follow suit - pretty much the same UI as previous ipods. Coming from a 15gig 3rd Gen ipod, the 4gig model is a little small on the storage size for me. However, that's not really a "problem" with the nano, it's more a matter of trading off the size with how many songs you can store. If you like to have your whole library with you at all times, you should probably look at the regular ipod.

Finally, the integration with the nike+ipod sport kit was what sealed the deal for me. My wife uses it for her jogs and I have to say that the sport kits works wonderfully with the nano. Just make sure you have a good case to carry it in when you jog.

Outstanding quality and ease of use

Strengths: Great interface, high quality output, operates very quickly

Weakness: Difficult setup

Once I was able to get the iTunes program working setup was quite easy. It operates very quickly, easy to access all of your information, and it sounds great! Highly recommended

Perfect out of the box experience, near perfect...

Strengths: Slim, Metal Case seems tough, great interface and sound

Weakness: It's almost too thin and small. It easily get's lost in a briefcase. No power adaptor included as in the old mini, you must by seperately or power through the USB cable

Great replacement for my aging Ipod mini. I'm still going to get a Zune because of the integration with the Xbox, MCE etc. but I am still a huge Ipod fan. This purchase reconfirms it. Nice little player.

just love it

Strengths: Tiny and light, easy to carry, battery life, nice casing and lively color

Weakness: iTunes, proprietary USB connection, expensive, no wall charger

This is my first iPod and I am amazed with the iPod. I had this for about 2 months.

There's nothing much to complain about the iPod nanos. Wish they included the wall charger with it.

Blue iPod

Strengths: small, slim, fits easily in a pocket

Weakness: easy to lose

Replacement gift for my teenage daughter since her other was mistakenly washed in the washing machine by me. She loved the red one she had before and really likes the new turquoise-blue one. She easily loads music from her CDs and PC. She was checking the mail everyday until it finally showed up.

Super Nano

Strengths: Total ease of use, tiny, with high power and high quality sound, driving even large earphones

Weakness: No video, even 4gb can run out if you get into it, batteries can't be replaced

This is the best consumer product I have ever purchased, intuitive, high quality, simple and effective. The scroll wheel sometimes lights up the display accidentally when I prefer darkness. Great item, though.

A masterpiece of design and construction!

Strengths: classic design, thin and yet sturdy. long battery life.

Weakness: limited functions comparing to other MP3 players in the same price range

The 2nd generation is a classic that, I think, won't be surpassed by any other MP3 players, not even the newer 3g version. It's think and yet very sturdy. The construction is also flawless which not even Sony can compare. The battery life is so long that I don't even remember the last time I recharged it.

Yet it has much fewer functions than other Mp3 players within the same price range, such as the Sansa e200 series. No FM tuner, no voice recorder, no video and so on. All you get in exchange is: it's an Ipod.

Apple iPod Nano 2nd Gen | 4GB - Blue

The 2nd generation Apple iPod Nano upgrades the already excellent player that Apple originally released. Apple has improved upon the design in a variety of ways. An anodized aluminum case gives the nano a more solid feel, and somehow Apple was able to shrink the device even further to only 3.5" tall and 1.6" wide. Battery life is increased to 24 hours of continuous play all the while increasing...

iPod Nano

The Nano has an elegant design and top-notch audio quality. But it limits you to using the iTunes Music Store.
