Lite-On 16x DVD-ROM Drive
Strengths: Reads all DVD media I own, doesn't sound like a jet engine doing it.
Weakness: doesn't burn DVDs(but thats not the reason you would be looking at this particular drive)
I put this in my machine as the primary drive because my plextor was really, REALLY loud, so I was only going to use that thing when I burned stuff. This drive reads media as fast as possible and reads all types of DVDs I have put into it; very quiet, and because I payed $30 for a non-OEM version; I have no complaints at all. Awesome product!
