iLife 08 Family Pack for the Good Life
Strengths: The added features in Garage Band and iPhoto make these programs easier to use and more functional.
Weakness: My computer doesn't have the right hardware for iMovie--but I guess that is more of a computer problem/weakness than a software problem!
I installed the iLife Family Pack on my family's three home computers without a hitch. The program knows whether or not your computer has the right hardware to support all or only some of the programs in this software package. (That's a real bonus for folks like me who just like to click "install" and let the computer/program do the work.) The "events" organization option in iPhoto is a great way to create photo albums. I found it very easy to make podcasts with GargageBand, too.
