Issues with the 5310Strengths: Amount of POI's, navigation of menus, screen size Weakness: See comments I bought the Maestro 5310 for my wife's birthday. It was an attempt to get her to use a GPS for those times she is driving by herself and would make her trip safer. I programmed the GPS and it was good to go. One day after she received it, she had to drive to a place across town that she was unfamilair with. No problem, right? I bought her what was rated high in comsumer reports. Best Buy recommended it. What could go wrong? IT LOCKED UP AND SHE GOT LOST!!! A GPS is USELESS if it doesn't get you where you need to go!!! After finding the reset button when she returned, I hit it. It worked and we could now navigate through the menus, but the voice is gone and replaced with a sqwelch!!! How annoying. NOT impressed thus far. Then I called "Customer Service" only to be CUT OFF no matter which selection I chose. Not a good start whatsoever. I have emailed customer service. 93% of readers found this review helpful. Great GPS
Strengths: 5" LCD Lots of user options. Not burdened with a bunch of stuff you'll never use.
Weakness: FM ant. for Traffic guide.
This is one nice GPS unit. Well made, thin case. The voice prompts are clear and timed perfectly at each turn. Then a bell chimes right where your turn is.
What I need is a GPS that is reliable, accurate, and with a large LCD screen. I do not need Bluetooth, or a FM transmitter, etc. etc. "TrafficKit" sounds nice but will probably not activate it. Just more stuff I really don't need.
Caught mine at Costco for under $300 which is a super bargain for this GPS. So prices for this GPS are coming down a bit. If you are looking for an un-cluttered GPS system with a bunch of nice user features that performs flawlessly. Get ya one o' these.
