ViewSonic VP191b 19" LCD Monitor

Strengths: 2D clarity and crispness, height is adjustable, large viewing angle, multiple inputs can be switched between easily.

Weakness: Response time.

I've got four of these at the office. All four are being used by engineers and we are all very happy with them. I highly recommend them for office use.

Home use is a different matter however. Ghosting is slightly evident while watching movies and very evident while playing 3D games (like UT).

BTW, refresh rates aren't an issue w/ LCD monitors.

Strengths: good text and colors. Thats about it..

Weakness: I warn you never to look at this monitor when there are no lights on you might go blind. This monitor is almost TOO bright

IF YOU ARE INTO ANYTHING 3D AND GAMING OR ANYTHING DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR. I have used a KDS crt that is about 3 or 4 years old and when I switched and got this 19" lcd i was PISSED. Ghosting is terrible and it got all blurry. ALSO as PRICEGRABBER says that it has 85hz at max resolution is NOT true. AT 1280x1024 i could set it to 75hz which is NOT worth 700 bucks. I wanted to return this monitor but viewsonic says I cant return it becuase they dont have a return program. If you want good text and pictures get this monitor..anything else..STAY AWAY.

ViewSonic VP191b 19" LCD Monitor

Strengths: Beautiful text and graphics

Weakness: None

I purchased two of these monitors and use them side by side. The screen is easily raised or lowered to less than 1" from the desktop. Text and graphics image quality are as good as any 19" LDC monitor I have ever seen. No dead pixels on either monitor. Easily pivots to portrait mode. GREAT monitors!

Great Monitor

Strengths: clear-bright-nice size-adjustable heights-

Weakness: none

use mine for internet viewing, word-processing, DVDs, & radio-communications software packages; also do a little CADD (for my private use)...
super-bright & clear in all forms...Nice overall performance

Strengths: Great colors, very sharp image, great adjustability.

Weakness: None

This is my first lcd and I have to say that I'm impressed! The monitor is of high quality and certainly blows my old 19" crt away. The image is very sharp with good colors.

ViewSonic Overdrive LCDs:A New Era of Very Fast Panels?

based on this technology. But let's be forthright - this is clearly the direction in which monitor manufacturers have to concentrate their efforts.
