With a print speed of (32) labels per minute (based on a standard 4-line address label) and 300 dpi print quality, the LabelWriter employs DYMO's direct thermal printing technology to guarantee laser-like results for every task.Direct thermal printing technology is fast, quiet, extremely reliable, and requires no replacements or supplies beyond labels. The LabelWriter employs a process of heat transfer from a thermal print head to its specially treated labels. The LabelWriter's thermal print heads are actually a row of mini-heating elements that impress themselves against a thermal label. As specific elements generate heat, a thermo-chemical reaction occurs at a correspondent points on the label, resulting in a crisp array of black dots.
