.mac 5.0 (full product, Macintosh)

Strengths: Like all Mac products, very easy to install and understand.

Weakness: For those of us who are renewing our subscriptions, it would be nice to be able to pay for and receive the key code instantly by email without having to wait for the box to be received.

I've been a .mac user for 3 years. It's easy to use and an account (subscription) also gives you 10GB of file storage, syncs contacts, bookmarks, etc., allows email access from anywhere. I've used free web-based email programs but eventually had to delete accounts because of spam. I have never, repeat NEVER, received a virus nor am I inundated with spam.

Strengths: Extremely easy to use and very versatile in function. A lot of bang for the buck.

Weakness: None noted.

Almost every day we sync...

Strengths: doesn't smell like manure ... well, maybe a little

Weakness: obsolete, expensive, second-rate functionality, poor customer service

This is a largely worthless service. They offer very little beyond the free services delivered elsewhere on the web. If you want webmail, a photo gallery, etc, look to Google, Flickr, and others. I love most Apple products, but alas this isn't one of them. . The principal reason I purchased a Dot-Mac subscription was because they tout their "shared group calendar" which I mistakenly believed was...

.MAC is easy for mac user to take advantage of its convenient features. My wife likes the easy sync with iPhoto and iWeb; easy to share photo with family and friends.
