Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse

Just bought, Just fine for now.

Strengths: No wires, free USB port, customized to have both right and left click, heavy use of the side squeeze and scroll ball click.

Weakness: price

Just bought with hesitation due to price. I am pleased I have free USB ports now. My mouse works great even though my wife insisted she'd hate it. I immediately switched it to have both right and left click, I customized the scroll ball and side-squeeze buttons to my preferences and it glides just fine on my mouse pad. I haven't heard the wrath of my wife yet while she uses it, so that should speak volumes as to the weird perceptions of the way it looks. As long as my scroll ball works, I will be content with the mouse. I do wish it wasn't as expensive.

Best Mouse Ever

Strengths: Lots of buttons without looking like lots of buttons.

Weakness: Have to replace batteries (just like all wireless mice)

Apple took a big step forward with this mouse. Not only does the Apple Mighty Mouse look good, it is the first Apple mouse that's actually usuable. Right Click is a Nightmare

Strengths: Compact; nice looking

Weakness: Roller ball is a gimmick; right click is horrible

This is a nice looking piece, but if you need right-click on your mac, or for certain PC-type apps that require a right-click, then you will despise this mouse. Why cannot Apple just go ahead and split the right and left buttons already? The Mighty Mouse is a case of form over function. As a Mac-only mouse, it is OK (there are better ones). As a Mac/PC (Bootcamp) Mouse, it should be exterminated!...

forget about right clicking

Strengths: good size, excellent tracking, very good and usable trackball, and ... OK, call me shallow ... it's cool

I finally had to say something. I couldn't hold back any longer. Do NOT buy this product. Unless you're cool. And I mean that literally. Apparently the thing works by sensing the warmth of your right-click finger - I've done some reading but I'm mostly guessing here - and responds when you press with that finger. It feels warmer to the mouse I suppose. However - do you have warm hands? I must. Do you tend to rest your left-click finger on the mouse while scrolling or reading. Well you can press on the right side all you want, if you've got the left side warmed up, you're getting a left click no matter what.

I developed coping mechanisms. When I know I'm about to click I hover my left-click finger over the mouse for a second - letting the mouse cool down. It's a toss up depending on how long you give it. Honestly, it doesn't take long but I've finally tired of almost every third or fourth right-click not working. In about two hours I'll be a Best Buy finding a USB wireless mouse you would usually see on that other kind of computer.

It's a shame really - other than this I love this mouse. At least I hung in there long enough to justify the expense. ... Right?

good deal on the product

Strengths: good in product quality

Weakness: not good in package

I feel content with the product. It is new and clear. But, since there are not drive cd, I spent much time to make it work. But, all in all, I like it. Moreover, I got the product very quickly.
